Mom is the owner and CEO of Mom's Friendly Robot Company. Her public face is that of a sweet, motherly old woman, but her personality in private is abrasive, abusive, and bitter. Her public body is stereotypically motherly - fat and frail, usually in a rocking chair, but in private she takes off her fat-suit and is slim, usually sporting a skintight blue suit and tall black boots. Her bitterness may have been caused by her failed relationship with Professor Farnsworth. They briefly got back together on Mother's Day, but she broke it off when she discovered that, although the Professor's feelings had become genuine, their meeting was a ploy to get the controller to stop the robot rebellion. It is possible, though highly unlikely, that the Professor is the father of Mom's three sons, Walt, Larry and Ignar. This is supported by the passing physical reseblance of Ignar and Walt to the Professor, but is contradicted by the dates (Mom's relationship with the professor fell apart over seventy years ago, and her sons seem to be in their late thirties). She did say that the professor was the "only man I ever loved".
She apparently holds the trademark on the words "Mom", "Love" and "Screen Door".
